I, the undersigned, agree to the following: In signing this waiver and release, I acknowledge that I understand its intent, and I for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and representatives, do hereby agree and will absolve and hold harmless Hands in Service Canada, cooperating organizations and any other parties connected with this event in any way, together with their respective successors, and assigns (the Sponsors) singly and collectively, from and against any blame whatsoever, which may result from or be connected in any way to my participation in a Hands in Service Canada volunteer service event. In addition to the absolute and unqualified release from all liability, I hereby represent that I am physically capable of participation in this event, and I will observe all applicable rules, and that I will conduct myself in a safe and prudent manner while participating in the event, knowing that not all client homes have been assessed by a staff of Hands in Service Canada for the suitability of a volunteer and I hereby absolve and hold harmless the Sponsors from any damage I may sustain because of any breach of these representations. I understand that Hands in Service Canada, reserves the right to refuse or dismiss anyone that may cause any disturbance or hindrance in any manner that could jeopardize the success of the service or event. I hereby consent to and permit emergency treatment in the event of injury or illness while participating in this event. All information obtained about clients and their lives and residences is confidential. No information gained during the course of the service shall be shared with outside parties. If an instance occurs requiring discussion, information should be taken to the team leader for the service. I give permission to Hands in Service Canada to use my name and any photography, or video taken of me during the event in any promotional materials for Hands in Service Canada, without remuneration.

Hands in Service is a faith-based organization. While as Christians, we approach serving as a love response to God, we recognize that not all our volunteers will have the same relationship with God. It is our desire to work with anyone who wants to help us make a difference. What we ask is that in a volunteer capacity and while representing Hands in Service, there is recognition and honor of the faith statement. Volunteers are asked not to present or act from any alternate faith position and to conduct themselves with integrity and wholesome behavior and language for the edification of all concerned.
From Scripture we believe: There is only one sovereign God who manifests as three - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - or Trinity. He is infinite and eternal, He has always been God and He is the Creator of everything that exists. All people are guilty of wrong acts and thoughts. This nature separates humans from God's holiness but not from His love! Jesus is fully God and fully man. Jesus was conceived through the power of the Holy Spirit; the birth child of the Virgin Mary, and lived a perfect life. Because of His love for us, Jesus Christ became our representative and substitute, dying as the payment for our wrong actions and thoughts and was physically raised from the dead after three days. Those who choose to enter into relationship with Jesus Christ as sovereign over their lives and accept His death in their place receive forgiveness and restored relationship to God the Father and will live with Him forever.
